Top 3 wordpress plugins

Let me tell you about my favorite top 3 plugins for WordPress that I dug up this year.

 

Broken Link Checker – allows you to find and fix broken links; no limit, the plugin is free. It searches for links gradually, without overloading the hosting. The only thing – after it checks – you need to remove it, otherwise it will periodically check again on the machine.

 

Better Search Replace – the best find recently; allows you to automatically replace the craps on the entire database. You can, of course, do it with SQL-request, but plugin change it much faster 🙂 Great job in conjunction with the Broken Link Checker

 

Polylang – has never been so easy and convenient to make multi-language interface. The best plugin to make the English version of the site.

Расскажу про свои любимые топ 3 плагинов для WordPress, которые я откопал в этом году.

Broken Link Checker – позволяет найти и исправить битые ссылки; нет ограничения, плагин бесплатный. При этом ищет ссылки постепенно, не перегружая хостинг. Единственное – после того, как все проверит – нужно его удалить, иначе он периодически будет все снова проверять на автомате.

Better Search Replace – самая лучшая находка последнего времени; позволяет автозаменить косяки по всей базе данных. Можно, конечно, это делать SQL запросом, но плагином поменять получается сильно быстрее 🙂 Отлично работает вкупе с Broken Link Checker

Polylang – еще никогда мультиязычность не была сделана так удобно и просто. Лучший плагин, чтобы сделать англоязычную версию сайта.

[solution] WordPress: css template editing problem

Funny thing – when you edit wordpress templates ccs (and other CMS) in Google Chrome – often the cache glitches, and as a result, when you refresh the page changes are not visible. I did not understand what’s wrong until I refreshed the page cache (Ctrl+F5).

 

In other browsers (fox, for instance) it’s OK; knows when to refresh what. By the way, chrome glitches permanently in terms of caching – it can be seen in YouTube, where the bar “… begins live broadcasting” is often lit on old videos, although there is no broadcast. I wrote to google support about a year ago – they know about the problem, but so far they are not scratching.
